Getting enough protein will help you to lose weight. This is based on my own personal experience. I have been trying to lose weight or been on some flavor of a diet for years and never had success in keeping the weight off. It was a roller coaster.

I finally figure out what I was doing wrong all these years. Actually, I was doing everything wrong. I was starving myself and eating no protein. Since I am a vegetarian, I am not getting protein from traditional meat sources like chicken or fish.

My protein was solely coming from beans, nuts, and yogurt.
